Uig is the ideal base for a holiday in Skye as many of the island's major visitor attractions are close by, including the Skye Museum of Island Life and the Quiraing, famous for its rock formations.

There are any number of excellent walks in the area, and Uig is a favourite spot for birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts. With a little knowledge, patience, timing and luck corncrakes, golden eagles, sea eagles, basking sharks, seals, otters and hares are all to be found around here. Whatever your pastime you will be very welcome at Orasay.

Using the ferry to or from the Western Isles? Look no further, we are the nearest B&B and caravan park to the CalMac ferry and CityLink bus terminals. You can see the ferry arriving at the pier from our windows.
